These terms and conditions as may be amended from time to time apply to all our services directly or indirectly (through distributors) made available online, by email or by telephone. By accessing, browsing and using our website and/or by completing a reservation, you acknowledge and agree to have read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions set out below (including the Privacy Policy statement).
1. Our Service
Through this website we (EscapesBooking.com), as booking agents, provide an online platform through which privately owned properties and hotels (including all types of temporary accommodation) can advertise their accommodations for reservation, and through which visitors to the website can make such reservations. By making a reservation through EscapesBooking.com, you enter into a direct (legally binding) contractual relationship with the proprietors/hotel at which you book. From the point at which you make your reservation, we act solely as an intermediary between you and the proprietors/hotel, transmitting the details of your reservation and sending you a confirmation email for and on behalf of the proprietor/hotel.
We make every effort to ensure that the information supplied to you is correct. Any information given to you with regard to the resort, complex, accommodation and its contents is given in good faith and is believed to be accurate. Distances and measurements are approximate. No responsibility can be accepted for the climate, the natural or built environment, local conditions, traditions or practices and interruption to or break down of any public service. Escapes Booking is not liable for any inaccuracies contained in any supplied information.
Our services are made available for personal and non-commercial use only. Therefore, you are not allowed to re-sell, deep-link, use, copy, monitor (e.g. spider, scrape), display, download or reproduce any content or information, software, products or services available on our website for any commercial or competitive activity or purpose.
2. Complaints
EscapesBooking.com offers a high standard of accommodation. Should the tenant feel that the property is not satisfactory, we require you to inform the manager on the day of arrival. Should you fail to tell us, we are not responsible for any matter, which you did not bring to our attention during your holiday. If the problem cannot be resolved locally when on holiday, to comply with the EU legislation, all complaints must be received in writing within 28 days of your return. Under no circumstances will EscapesBooking.com, enter into any negotiations for claims of compensation whilst the tenant is on holiday.
3. Privacy
EscapesBooking.com uses high ethical standards and respects your privacy. Save for disclosures required by law in any relevant jurisdiction and the disclosure of your name, email address and your credit card details for completing your booking with the relevant hotel of your choice, we will not disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent. Please have a look at our privacy policy for further information.
4. Free of charge
Our service is free of charge. Unlike many other parties, we will not charge you for our service or add any additional (reservation) fees to the accommodation's rate.
5. Credit card
Hotels require credit card details in order to guarantee your reservation. As such, we will send your credit card information directly to the hotel at which your booking is made and we may verify (i.e. pre-authorize) your credit card as well. In order to safeguard and encrypt your credit card information when in transit to us, we use the "Secure Socket Layer (SSL)" technology for our services.
For certain rates or special offers, please note that your credit card may be pre-authorized or charged (sometimes without any option for refund) upon reservation and confirmation of the booking. Please check the room details thoroughly for any such conditions prior to making your reservation. Privately owned properties require a 20% deposit.
6. Cancellation
By making a reservation with a hotel, you accept and agree to the relevant cancellation and no-show policy of that hotel, and to any additional (delivery) terms and conditions of the hotel that may apply to your reservation or during your stay, including for services rendered and/or products offered by the hotel (the delivery terms and conditions of a hotel can be obtained with the relevant hotel). The general cancellation and no-show policy of each hotel is made available on our website at the hotel information pages, during the reservation procedure and in the confirmation email. Please note that certain rates or special offers are not eligible for cancellation or change. Please check the room details thoroughly for any such conditions prior to making your reservation.
If you wish to review, adjust or cancel your reservation, please revert to the confirmation email and follow the instructions therein. Please note that you may be charged for your cancellation in accordance with the hotels cancellation and no-show policy. We recommend that you read the cancellation and no-show policy of the hotel carefully prior to making your reservation.
With all Temporary Accommodation Privately Owned Properties, there will be a loss of deposit if the booking is canceled 90 days or more, before the start of the rental period. If the booking is canceled between 90 45 days before the start of the rental period only half of the balance amount will be charged to your credit card. Any cancellations made 45 days or less before the start of the holiday will result in a loss of the full cost of the accommodation.
7. Guest Review
By completing a booking, you agree to receive an invitation email to complete our guest review form which we will promptly send to you after your stay. The completed guest review may be uploaded onto the relevant hotels information page on our website for the sole purpose of informing (future) customers of your opinion of the service (level) and quality you experienced. We reserve the right to refuse or remove reviews at our sole discretion. The guest review form should be regarded as a survey and does not include any (further commercial) offers, invitations or incentives whatsoever.
8. Disclaimer
We will not accept liability for (i) any punitive, special, indirect or consequential loss or damages, any loss of production, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of contract, loss of or damage to goodwill or reputation, loss of claim, (ii) any inaccuracy relating to the (descriptive) information (including rates, availability and ratings) of the hotel as made available on our website, (iii) the services rendered or the products offered by the hotel, (iv) any (direct, indirect, consequential or punitive) damages, losses or costs suffered, incurred or paid by you, pursuant to, arising out of or in connection with the use, inability to use or delay of our website, or (v) for any (personal) injury, death, property damage, or other (direct, indirect, special, consequential or punitive) damages, losses or costs suffered, incurred or paid by you, whether due to (legal) acts, errors, breaches, (gross) negligence, willful misconduct, omissions, non-performance, misrepresentations, tort or strict liability by or (wholly or partly) attributable to the hotel or temporary accommodation (its employees, directors, officers, agents, representatives or affiliated companies), including any (partial) cancellation, overbooking, strike, force majeure or any other event beyond our control arising from provision of our intermediary services.
9. Tenants Responsibility
It is the tenants responsibility to exercise due care and attention in relation to the accommodation together with all fixtures, furnishings and fittings provided. The accommodation should be left in the same state of cleanliness and condition, as it was at the start of your holiday. Failure to do so will result in the loss of the refundable breakage deposit and extra charges made to the tenant above the amount held, if necessary. arising from provision of our intermediary services.
10. Insurance
You should obtain comprehensive travel insurance as well as health insurance cover. If you are European we highly recommend you carry your European Health Insurance Card with you at all times.
11.Check-In/Out Times - Temporary Accommodation
Entry day from 2pm. Departure day by 10am.
12. Services - Temporary Accommodation
Services that are included in the rental amount are; water, gas, electricity, central heating and pool cleaning. Other free services include a complementary welcome pack on arrival and an end of stay clean on departure. If you have a 2 weeks booking then there will be a full clean, change of towels and linen after approximately 1 week. (The cleaners or relevant management company will notify you when they wish to access the property). Pool heating costs are included in the rental amount unless stated differently by EscapesBooking.com at the time of booking.
13. Prices
Prices are quoted in Euros. Pounds Sterling and other currencies are calculated at the daily rate given by independent Foreign Exchange partners. Prices are quoted per property per day or per selected arrival and departure dates.
